Beacon Lodge offers a summer camp programs for children & adults with various disabilities. Five hundred and eighty three acres nestled in the beautiful hills along the Juniata River of Central PA, Beacon offers a complete recreational program to meet the needs of all individuals who are challenged.

While the program is primarily recreational, much planning is done to create an atmosphere of learning, allowing each individual to better understand his limitations, to become more capable of using the skills he possesses, thus enabling them to return to his community problems of everyday living.

"Campers at Beacon Lodge learn to make decisions for themselves. We view ourselves as an educational institution. It's a different kind of education our campers get than during the rest of the year. It's learning self-confidence, how to see opportunities for growth and pursue them"
