For the child with special needs these emotions are often the benchmarks of emotional growth and well-being. At Round Lake Camp we believe that such success is attainable. That acceptance and recognition by staff and fellow campers are as important as health and safety. Our campers feel they belong. It is to this end that our program of therapeutic recreation has been designed. Every activity - recreational, social and educational - is planned to meet the social capabilities of each child. With realistic expectations as a goal, campers are able to thrive. Structured so that each camper receives regular instructions in the widest possible variety of recreational skills, the program is also flexible enough to allow for individual interests and needs.
